Well, lets see if I still remember how to blog... sorry, have been busy trying to get the house in order... finally got all the totes unpacked... WOO HOO !

So last week we went to the MC swimming pool... First time in probably at least 15 years since I have been there. When I was little I practically lived there! Thursday nights is family night and there usually isn't very many people there so I thought we would try it out.

I was very proud of my little man.. he did good getting in the water. I really didn't think he would since the last time we tried at Seven Feathers he totally freaked out about getting in. But this time he did GREAT!

So we had a really good time! We are going again tonight..there will be quite a few friends and family there.. should be a lot of fun and will be nice since it is suppose to be 98* today !!! HOT, HOT, HOT! If you are in Myrtle Creek around 6:30 Thursday, come on by and hang out with us !!

In other news.. I went to the Doctor Monday.. I got to hear the babies heart beat. It took her a few minutes to find it.. scared me at first.. then she said, "well there it is." The baby is higher that she thought, so I asked her if that meant it was a girl... she laughed and "NO".     DARN IT !!!! ... LOL. And the good news was that I lost 2 pounds this month. I thought that was pretty good. Lets just hope I can keep that up for the next few months!

Shane has been working a ton of hours this week. Today is his last day for the week. Thank goodness ! he is probably totally exhausted by now. He should have a nice relaxing weekend to re-coup though! (hopefully)

We are planning a BBQ Saturday for the 4th and then headed over to Riddle to the fireworks. Can't wait to hang out with my friends and eat a bunch of great food! I have been wanting a peanut butter cake for a couple weeks now, and my wonderful mom is going to make one for the BBQ! THANKS MOM, YOUR THE BEST!

Weekend Layouts

I got to go to a crop this weekend in Riddle... Wooo Hooo... it was nice to get to scrap! Last time was in March, so I am a bit behind! Vanessa and mom went also, so that was nice to visit with them for a bit.... Here is what I accomplished!

 

 

 

 

 

So I got 5 layouts done... that's really good for me in 9 hours ! Time just seems to fly by when we are scrappin' !! The color on these don't look that great.. I haven't found a good place to take the pictures in this house yet !

No plans for the week.. just going to try and get some walking in and I think one day mom is suppose to make marinated chicken wings for dinner... Mmmmm, Mmmmm... one of my favorites !!

Shane's Back To Work !!

Woooo Hoooo.... after almost 4 months without work, last night was Shane's first night! And this is the first time in 10 years we have been "home" ( Canyonville ) for a job!!!! Will let you know how it all went!

 

Friday I went to dinner with my girlfriends Vanessa, Shana & a new friend Sophia. Ate at Kowloon's and the went to watch "The taking of Phalen 123" !

Dinner: $20.00 ~ Movies: $14.00 ~ Popcorn & Drink: $ TOO MUCH.......

Saturday we went to Julie Brown (Carrie's Keneally's Daughter) graduation party. It was great ! There were tons of her friends and family there to wish her well... Carrie you sure did raise 2 very kind, smart, goal orientated ,wonderful children !!!

Sunday we just stuck around the house. Shane had to do a few more things to the truck to get it ready for work. My sister in Law (and neighbor) got me a couple plants a few weeks ago so I thought I would try my luck at planting some flowers pots. Carter and I went to the local plant shop, he found this purple flower and packed it around the whole time so I told him that one was his.... now he likes to water it.. we will see how long that lasts because before the flower was in that pot, that was his dirt digging area !!!

On the way back to the house we seen a snake... So Devin caught it and brought it over to show us.....

 

Other than that, nothing else really exciting happening!

Walked 5 miles today... 2.5 this morning and then 2.5 this evening with mom and Aunt Donna. Hope to keep that up as long as I can!!

What a wonderful day Saturday was for the family! We welcomed Danielle & Sebby into the family Legally !!! LOL... she was already welcomed years before that, but now we are stuck with her for life !! LOL !

So it was a great day ! We stayed until about 10:00. Carter had a great time running around being crazy.. just like a 2 year old is suppose to do, right?? I was pretty wore out by then end of the night.

Our little Peanut!

Well here is the little one....

 

It is pretty hard to see, head at the top, then the body and legs, a side view of "her" !! LOL.

Everything looks good so far. Looks like maybe have the C-Section December 21st-23rd... somewhere around there. Just hope my doctor isn't on vacation then !!!

As for the house.... still in shambles! I can't keep my mind focused on one thing at a time.. I start in one room, then go check on Carter, and end up pruning the roses... or end up feeding the goats... so I have to go back inside and remember where I left off... what about you Trisha, how is your moving going ???

I have to say that Carter absolutely loves it here at the new house !! He plays outside so great... from the time he gets up in the morning, he is asking to go outside !! The last couple days we have had to take him for a drive just to settle down enough to take a nap. Just a few minutes ago I put him in the chair and started some Mac & Cheese, when it was done, I went back in the living room and this is what I seen....

 

My tired baby bear !!!! So cute and innocent, and perfect !!

So I better get off here and try to get a few more things done before my nail appointment !

A SUCCESS !

Well, thank god the yard sale is done and over with!! It was a great success.... We did a lot better than I thought we would !!

 Only had a few people today so we shut it down early. Friday was the big day... like my mom said, if it is a 2 day sale, you will hardly get any sales on the second day. I was really surprised that I didn't sell much on baby clothes.. Does anyone know when the city wide yard sale is in Canyonville ??? Thanks again Mom for hanging out with me all day Friday and helping with the sale!

We have been trying to get the house in order still... I for sure thought I would be done with this by now ! Here are just a couple pictures for ya....

There are 4 goats that the owners left here... Carter like to feed them and water them.. well, he really likes to just play in the  water!

Carter has a nice little planter that is just full of dirt and that is his favorite place to play!!!

 

We live on a dirt road so Shane used his water truck to keep the dust down... that was nice !

Carter went with him the first day, and then on the next Shane started up the truck and I think it scared him a little, so he didn't want to ride with daddy.. instead he was like this...

 

So right now a few of the boys (and Tammy) are at the poker table at the house playing cards... Carter is in bed, and that is exactly where I am headed NOW !!!

This week I have a ultrasound Monday, Carter has a 2 year check up Wednesday, and I am hoping to get my nails done and a Pedi!!!!

YARD SALE !!

Wow, this is way more work that moving out of one house into another!!!     I AM EXHAUSTED !!!!

We have been working the last 2 days organizing and pricing everything .... it is amazing how much "stuff" we think we needed !!

So we will be busy selling Friday and Saturday... if you are around the Canyonville area, stop by!!! It is the road right before Canyon Market... just watch for signs !!

Memorial Weekend

Well we finally decided at the last minute to go camping up by Lomola Lake for the weekend. We must have changed our minds at least 10 times, and on the way home from getting a fridge and grocery shopping, we said OK, lets just go. The house stuff can wait!

So Friday afternoon we headed up there. It was a great camping area, and we met up with some friends we use to hang out with years ago. The Keneally's even showed up to camp with us !!!

There were a bunch of us that had Rangers & Rhino's. And a couple guys had 4 wheelers.

John & Carrie, Cindy Anderson & Me, SHane and Carter went for a little ride Saturday... we didn't make it far....

 

The little ranger got stuck ! Thank goodness Cindy's 4 wheeler had a winch on it !!

 

We finally got it out... it was pretty funny!!!

Carter had a great time on John & Carrie's 4 wheel drive 4 wheeler.... I think that might have to be our next purchase... maybe next year, that way Shane & Carter can ride the 4-wheeler and me and the baby can be in the Ranger !!!

 

Carter would push the throttle, and just laugh so hard because he made it go fast ! I took him for a ride one, and had to tell him no more, no more, he about made he hit Shane in the Ranger !! Silly boys !

Sunday the whole group went for a ride. IT WAS A BLAST !! There must have been 20 of us ! We didn't make it too far, I think about 15 miles total, but we laughed and laughed about someone getting stuck every 100 feet it seemed like !!!!

As you can see, Carter is definitely in charge of running the Ranger !!!!

 

We stopped several time, just sat around and talked, ate lunch, and Carter wanted to play in the snow with his tractor....

 

He had a really good time !!! When we got back him and daddy were hanging out, and I hear Shane yelling for me, well, when I seen them walking my way... this is what I see.....

 

Poor baby... took a "digger" !!! it was funny.. he didn't cry or anything ! just got a bit dirty!

Cody stayed up there for 2 days. He went fishing most of the time though.... caught some nice looking fish !!!

 

So that was pretty much it for our weekend.

We got home Monday around noon and Carter took his nap on the way home, so Shane & I  had to take turns taking our naps !!!

So today the goal is to get everything unpacked and figure out what we are going to do with Carter & the baby room!! Can't figure out if we want to have them in the same room right next to us,or have Carter at the other end of the house ( assuming he will be in his own bed by them!! ) or what! The rooms are kind of small, so the dressers won't fit in the rooms I want them to, and my huge dresser has to be in one of the extra rooms since it won't fit in our bedroom.... so frustrating! Other than that, I like the house a lot!

I will take pictures once it is all organized and unpacked !

Moved out, and moving in!

Well we are moved out of our house in Vancouver...wow, how does a person accumulate so much SH** in 2 years ??? LOL!

It took 2 1/2 days.. we didn't kill ourselves moving, just did a little bit, took a break... took a nap ( well me and carter did..) and then packed again. Thank god Cody came up there with us! There is no way I could have moved that heavy stuff !!

So got everything out by Wednesday around 10:00 and headed to Canyonville. We started moving a little bit of stuff into the new house, but thought we would do the rest today. We had already had a long 3 days, didn't want to push it. Mom came over to help a little, but Carter had other things in mind for her !!!

"SIT ON ROCK NANA !!!!!!!!"  So she spent most of the evening on a big rock watching Carter play in the dirt !! It was funny !! She didn't do much "help" lifting stuff, but she did a HUGE HELP watching Carter !!!!

We are getting the Cable & Internet hooked up today... Shane is over there now mowing and waiting for Cody to show up. Carter and I will be heading over there in a couple hours. We were waiting for the boys to try and get the rest out of the U-haul so they aren't tripping over Carter.

I think the plan is to have a BBQ this weekend since going camping is pretty much out of the question ! And next weekend we are going to have a yard sale... That should be fun!!!!

So I will try and blog some pictures in the next couple days... I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL MEMORIAL WEEKEND !!!!!

Good work news....

Well we have good / bad news.... what do you want first??

Ok, the good news... Shane has a job FINALLY !! He is going to be using his water truck for the paving job from Azalea to Clarks Branch. It will start June 1st! They were to first company (Knife River) that gave him a "FOR SURE" answer, so we have to take it !!

Now for the bad news.... I have to leave my girlfriend up in Vancouver : Jen, Cortney & Tonya. We have gotten to get together for some great family BBQ's and fun play dates with all the kids... So I am a bit sad to not be able to hang out with them for a while ! But with the way construction is, who knows we might be back there in 6 months ! You never know !!

We are headed back to Vancouver Monday and we are bringing Cody with us so he can help Shane move the heavy stuff ! So glad he is coming so I don't have to worry about getting things moved... I just have to pack up the totes and they will load everything ! Shouldn't take too long... should be moved out by Wednesday or Thursday.

In other news... we went to the OHA banquet at the casino last night. We had a really good time ! My Niece Trista came over and watched Carter in the hotel room at about 7:00. Carter fell asleep at around 8:00 and I stayed out until about midnight. He did REALLY good with her... so glad about that ! She is always so good with kids.. she picked that up from her nana I think !! THANK YOU TRISTA !!!!!

We did win a 270.. can't remember the brand.. shane is napping or I would ask him... not like it really matters, right? Won a GC to Sportsmans Warehouse,bino straps and a gift basket for some meat... I am guessing like Jerky, salami.. that kind of thing.

Carrie and I took Carter to the pool at the casino before the banquet. I thought he was going to love it... well, I was WAY wrong !!! He screamed and screamed... so we let him out and he played in a little fountain for about 15 minutes, and he was pretty happy about that!

I guess we are going to have to do some practicing this summer with the pool thing !

So I guess that is about it for now.... I will blog again once we get all moved back down here to MC. Have a great week !!!!!
